Heritage Girls MS Basketball took third in the RobCo tournament.

Heritage Girls MS Basketball took third in the RobCo tournament.

Both White House Heritage Boys & Girls Middle School basketball finished third with wins in the final day of the Robertson County Middle School Tournament last Thursday night.
The girl’s game against Springfield was a closely contested affair until the fourth quarter, with Heritage leading at halftime 12-11. And at the start of the final Heritage found themselves in a tie of 16-16 with Springfield. The Lady Pats then turned up the defense and did not allow another point by Springfield.  This defensive effort spurred on a 11-0 offensive run by the Patriots girls to claim the win with a final score of 27-16.

Scoring for the Patriot Girls: Faith Puch – 9 points, Tori Perminator – 8 points, Casey Scannell – 8 points and Ally MacDonald – 2 points.

The boy’s game with Greenbrier was also a nailbiter. Neck and neck the entire game, Heritage went into halftime against Greenbrier only up by one point.  The second half remained the same until the Patriots took the lead on a 10 footer by Michael Cook with less than 10 seconds remaining.  Greenbrier’s final shot came up short, giving Heritage a victory and the third place trophy.
